NOVEMBER SCHEDULE

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 4
SOUP AND BREAD
Our meeting is right after church today. Come to the HILL CHURCH (worship is at 10) and stay for a meal and a meeting from 11:15 til 12:30. You’ll hear about our plans for the lock in, etc. We need your ideas!

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 11
LOCK IN
You asked for it— you got it!!! It’s a night a church for fun with friends. We’ll have games(glow-in-the-dark capture the flag), food (how about make-your-own nachos and brownie sundaes??), movies, and midnight worship. Meet at 7:30 PM at the HILL CHURCH and stay til 9 am the next morning. All you need to bring is a sleeping bag, pillow, and PJ's. Friends are welcome but please sign up today so we can plan for food, etc. Down load your permission slip and bring that with you on Sunday night. (No school on Monday this week)

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 18
TAG— YOU’RE IT!
Have you tried laser tag? It’s a blast, so don’t miss it. Meet at the Hill Church at 11:30. We'll make grinders for lunch and then carpool to Danielson. Bring your own $$$. Cost per game is $4.25 and there are lots of arcade games as well. Besure to invite a buddy-- it's fun! Please reserve your spot in advance by emailing Deb at ddkirk@snet.net. We need a firm count to get the group rate. Plan to get picked up at the Hill Church at 2:30 PM.

EWCC BREAKFAST CLUB
Introducing our “Hot Topics” series. This is a chance to chat with friends about things that matter. Come to morning worship at 10 and we’ll gather in the library. Light breakfast is provided so you can catch a few more minutes of sleep this morning:)

The Power Of Gratitude
Try this spiritual practice: take a moment at the end of each day to give thanks to God for three things. It could be the people in your life, the moments of beauty, or a glimpse of grace. As you celebrate the blessings of the day, you will realize that you are indeed surrounded by God’s goodness.

• handbell bell choir (practices are on Monday nights at 7:30 PM)
• senior chior (Practices are on Thursday nights)
• serve lunch or work at a table at "Christmas on the Hill" on Saturday, November 17

Monday, October 8 MEALS ON WHEELS
Who are the hungry in NE CT? What are our churches doing to serve the poor? Put your faith into action and help out with the meal at Community Kitchen. Come to the HILL CHURCH at 9:30 am. We’ll prepare a hot meal, transport it to North Grosvenordale, visit with the guests, serve lunch at noon, and return by 1:30 PM.

Sunday, October 14 SYG SUNDAY NIGHT
7:00 to 8:30 PM at the HILL CHURCH
Come and see the retreat slide show tonight. Snacks, laughs, games!

Sunday, October 21 VIDEO NIGHT
7:00 to 8:30 PM at the HILL CHURCH.
Bring a pillow and get comfy. We’ve got popcorn and a video!
Friends are welcome so call a buddy.

EAST WOODSTOCK CHURCH (we alternate sites each year)
Come at 9:15 to set up; Worship starts at 10:00 am.
